Overview

The MOD-56K is a V.90/K56flex data/fax/voice modem PC/104 module for use with embedded, industrial computers with on-board PC/104 expansion sockets. The MOD-56K uses the module connector to connect with the PC/104 Stack to build up to stronger combination of PC/104 boards.

The MOD-56K is designed for a 2-wire phone line or leased-line, and functions similarly to a normal internal ISA-based modem. Because of its small (PC/104) form-factor, it may be applied easily to most industrial computers with PC/104 expansion sockets on-board. The MOD-56K may be thus applied in any type of equipment requiring remote communications capabilities, such as remote monitoring systems, video- or tele-conferencing systems, or remote communications equipment.
